The core performance indicators of a cooling fan form an "impossible triangle": increasing the air volume usually requires increasing the fan blade size or speed, but this can lead to an increase in noise; Extending lifespan requires the use of more durable materials or bearings, but it will increase costs. The product manager needs to make choices based on the priority of the scenario:
Consumer electronics scenario: The smartphone cooling fan prioritizes "quietness+slimness" and adopts a "turbine fan blade+ultra-thin motor" design. The air volume has been increased from the traditional 1.2m ³/min to 1.8m ³/min, and the noise is controlled below 20dB. However, the lifespan has been compressed from 50000 hours to 30000 hours (due to the average replacement cycle of the phone being only 2-3 years).
Industrial equipment scenario: The cooling fan of wind power equipment prioritizes "long life+environmental resistance", using a "ball bearing+LCP material" design, with a lifespan of over 100000 hours, and can work stably in environments ranging from -40 ℃ to 85 ℃.
